Rule clarifications:
To peek at your stashed cards, means you look at what card it is you have stashed without revealing it to other players.
You may peek at your stashed cards and choose to not draw them, in that case you don’t ge 3 coins.
Goldsmiths ability makes all your cards in hand that are items cost 1 less coin to play.
This can reduce the cost of an Item to 0, thus making it free to play.
Note that items you play from the island board still cost the same amount to play.
